The 2004 Mt. Magazine Labor Day Fly-in saw more than 25 gliders and pilots visiting Mt. Magazine and Mt. Nebo. The Mt. Magazine Challenge on Saturday was moved to Mt. Nebo due to the East Winds. Conditions allowed everyone to get a flight but the ceilings were low, and the lift was spotty. Some got great flights, while others enjoyed the extended sled ride. The Mt. Magazine Challenge consisted of First Hour aloft, Longest Duration, and Best Distance. We divided into Rigid and Flexie Class. See the Results Below!

Around 25 Gliders set up for the Mt Magazine Fly-in on Saturday. Actually this is on Mt. Nebo, as the Easterly Winds favored this location.

Jim Schults from Kansas, made an early launch and won the 1st hour aloft in his Up Comet. Also had to be the oldest glider on the hill, but looked in pristine condition. He also manage some great evening soaring as well.
